Nope...I think I read that new-ish members can't upload avatars because of software issue or sommething...(I tried when I first joined and couldn't do it...). Can anybody else confirm this?

Here's a screen shot of what I see when I look at your post -- there's no Avatar except for a bouncing pink emoticon (left side above your name) but there is a picture ("never stop dreaming") in your signature line:
