Did I read somewhere there were going to be other artist signings this year, or am I dreaming.

I haven't read anything about artist signings, and previously I don't think there have been any in the Kansas City event years.

Weren't the 4 store signings for the dollhouse in 2013? Same year as the event?

In 2013 after the event there were signings in Santa Clarita CA, Livonia MI, Bear DE and Centerville TN.

Kevin, you are correct about there being a small number of signings around the country the same year as the big event in KC.

Beaglebabes, I heard something about another contest for a few signings this year, too, but can't remember where. There hasn't been any info released that I know about that explains the details - just a chance to win a signing at your Hallmark store. I hope Hallmark sheds light on this soon - it takes time to put together a quality entry.

Our store isn't going to enter any more to get artist signings. The owner and manager are so frustrated by what they heard from someone higher up. everything is predetermined. How do some stores get them over and over and others don't have a chance. As for the artists, I still have some where I have not had a single signing and I have been to over 30 events/signings in the last 10 years. It is a good thing my hubby likes to travel or I wouldn't have anything signed.

My local club also stopped entering the signing contests at least 3-5 years ago already. We haven't missed it so far. It's more fun to attend signings that are within driving distance where you don't have to work all day anyway.

I am pretty sure that I read either in the ForKeeps or Collectively Speaking (probably that one) that there is no in store signing this year but there is a contest to enter to be in consideration for next year's signings.

Sue is right - the information was updated that the contest will have a deadline of later this year to be for winning a signing next year.
I haven't heard if there will be any signings based on sales (I think they have sometimes done a few in the same year as the National event).
There will be a Joanne Eschrich signing this year in Arizona, but it's more to promote the special line she created (lots of angels) rather than Keepsake ornaments.

Diana Rice told my local club that there would be no signing events this year after the national event in August.
