Took another look at the online Dream Book.
- Did anybody notice the North Pole Patriot ornament. Santa looks like he done in the wood carving/folkart style. Might be another early faviorite of mine.
- Its interesting that the Christmas Bells series is Frosty and that there is a compliment piece with Mickey Mouse. Last week I was thinking this series was about to run out of characters. Now that they've done non-traditional characters like Frosty & Mickey, their are many possibilities for the upcoming ornaments.

Did anyone else notice this in the description of Sittin' on Santa's Lap?
"Record a child's voice, and hear a conversation with Santa about what that special child wants for Christmas." Does this mean that it has some sort of chip or whatever in it that will do word recognition or whatever you call it? If so, that's pretty unique I'd think!

I am really impressed with many of the ornaments this year. Our granddaughter, Kaylea, who is eight, collects the Snowbuddies series. She loves the little forest animals , and she loves this years fawn. I personally like all the wonderful Santas. I prefer very traditional style ornaments for Christmas and will be collecting the new father Christmas series. I wish there were some beautiful blown glass ornaments, but those are plentiful elsewhere and Hallmark's glass tends to be expensive. We all really enjoyed the online Dreambook- lots of wonderful and unique ornaments that can't be found anywhere else. Thanks, Hallmark , for brightening up a dreary winter day.

JerseyVike, if you noticed, there were three Disney bells last year, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, and Tigger. I am disappointed because I was hoping what so many posted here that the next in the series would be an elf. I feel that Frosty has his own series, and besides, I have him in miniature with the Husky, Seal, and Bear! Also, I listed my opinion about the Star Wars ornaments on the other thread. I, too, wish there was a Lando! I do like Sweeter by the Dozen, it really is a cute idea. I can't wait to see Winter Fun with Snoopy, see what winter game he is playing. As the only series I have every one is Christmas Bells, I really didn't see any other series that interested me. I'm really happy that most of you like the ornaments this year, but, for me, I think I will be waiting for October, that's when Frodo, Harry Potter, and Rudolph and Santa will arrive.

Originally posted by leebeans: What is the Sweet Tooth treats oranment, and what are the "mini" ornaments in it? Thanks Sweet Tooth Treats is a blonde angel with braids in a green gown with red trim on the bottom. The cookies are a dove, a star and a bell. Maybe next year's will be a gingerbread man but I have to say I really like the look of this one. I also love the Sweeter by the Dozen mini cookie ornaments. I can't decide if I like Cookie Doe or not. When I first look at it, I think "no" but when I look at it more closely, I'm struck by the cleverness of what they used to make it that I find myself looking at it again and again. So I'm a little schizo about that one. I also really like the Father Christmas 1st in a series. The last thing I want is to start an $18.95 series but I love the look of this one. It'll probably go on my after Christmas list. If it had been less expensive, it would've gone on my premiere list. But I only have so many GC certificates to cover July. I did a quick assessment of what I think I'll buy in July based on the online pics alone and so far, the list is still surprisingly small. I don't think I've ever bought less than 10 ornaments in July before but this may be the year. Partly because I like fewer ornaments but also partly because they're higher priced and harder to squeeze into the budget. I'm still in "enough is enough" mode so I'm much stricter now about what to get. ------------------ I never met a chocolate I didn't like.

Hi Karen. I had also noticed that. I think it'll be quite interesting to see how this one works in person. I'm hoping it's as good as I think it'll be. If it is, I just might end up buying one for each of my nieces and nephew; maybe even some extras later on for my own children someday. We'll see.

I followed the link and directions posted here a few days ago, and I was able to view the dream book, even though I haven't renewed my membership yet! Maybe I have an old cookie on my machine.
But, for the last couple of days I haven't been able to even get the main Hallmark site. I just get a page saying the site is temporarily down. Anyone else having this problem? 2 days is more than a temporary problem!

This is to Toppershopper. The same thing happened to me with the Hallmark site (temporarily under maintenance). My daughter happened to hit the "refresh" button and everything cleared up. I tried again the following day (same thing). Try the "refresh" button, and if it worked for me, it should work for you. Good luck,

Thanks for the info. In AOL, I still get the site down page even after refreshing the page. But, when I open up IE inside AOL, I get the regular page and I'm looking at the on line dream book. AOL is worthless much of the time!

SandyT, I was thinking of the Christmas Bells series edition. Before the online Dream Book was available I too was thinking the last series bell might be an Elf. I guess a few people thought the same. I did get the Winnie the Pooh bells last year.

The Breast Cancer Angels are nice; however, why didn't they just make a series out of them?[/B] If you like religious ornaments, DaySpring Cards has ornaments that are totally religious and they are made by Hallmark. Go to http://www.dayspring.com. They are great!!! Also, those Breast Cancer Awareness Angels are an "unofficial series" I guess, which can tend to make them MORE valuable, from what I understand. I agree with you on the 2004 line...they outdo themselves every year...and we're "hooked" because we go back year after year.

You're welcome, Toppershopper! Isn't it amazing that they're "cheaper" than the Hallmark? They're the same quality (and the same style boxes) and they embody what Christmas is TRULY about. They sell them at Christian book stores too, just in case you're interested...

Our sponsor store sold the DaySpring Christian ornaments right along with the Keepsakes this year. They sold very strongly. I agree that the quality of the ornaments is just as good.

I may have missed it earlier in this thread but just noticed this a.m. Thomas the Tank Engine is back after several years over at Carlton. Still no picture as of yet.
