Hi all,

The Windows version of YuleLog legacy is available today at

https://yulelog-software.myshopify....lelog-2025-for-hallmark-digital-download

Mac will follow shortly -- Apple requires some additional hurdles to clear before I can offer it as a download.

DVDs

I am not 100% certain if I will offer DVDs this year. DVDs are getting more and more expensive as customers switch over to mobile apps, web apps, or digital downloads. The convenience of a download is also much easier to handle. It requires no shipping (USPS becomes less and less reliable for me each year) and I can easily and instantly send new digital downloads on demand.

We've offered digital downloads since 2012. Many newer computers do not even come with DVD drives anymore. The web version is also an alternative to legacy, which doesn't even require you to download the full application or deal with installation and backup files.

I will hold a poll here to determine if I will produce DVDs this year.

Do you require a DVD to use YuleLog?

Sean, we've been collecting and using yulelog for years. I think your father(?) was creating the software back then. We prefer not to have any financial or location information about our collections on the web. We've also found that downloads don't completely install properly at times. Having a disc is preferable, especially if reinstallations become necessary for some reason. Please make the discs available. And soon at this point.

Hi Sean, Debut has come and gone. We have 50+ entries to make for this year. Again, we will not put this information on the web. Please answer my questions about the disc and the download? We need to make a decision about what to do. I've been talking up Yulelog for years as its exactly what we need. Really hoping to be able to continue it's use.

Hi Mike, I agree with not having collection info on the web. I also prefer to have the disc just to have as a backup in case something happens to the software on the computer. I've been using it for many years as well and would prefer to have the disc as well.

Some of us are older and not so computer "SAVY" The disc is much easier.
Have already sent payment for this years disc. Hope you publish the disc at least one more
year. Agree with Mike, they are a good back up. Have had to use the 2024 disc when
computer went down. Daughter had to come to do the computer reset.
