Keep in mind that in order to have all the marketing materials (e.g. the Dreambook, online images and the box pictures) ready on time, Hallmark often photographs prototypes not finished samples. The final product may change (have things added or removed) prior to production.

Nancy, I do understand your point about the angle, but I feel I'm able to see the lips. That said, Marc makes a good point, the picture I posted a link to is most likely the prototype, not the ornament, because it's from Hallmark's website.

I'm still waiting to see a picture of the produced ornament that people bought in stores this weekend.

Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments: " Jimmy, Dahlia's tongue is sticking out! Not a defect. The image on Hallmark.com should be updated soon". There you have it! Mystery resolved.

Thank you all for responding to my post regarding this concern. I have looked at the image on Hooked on Hallmark regarding this angel ornament as she does have her tongue sticking out. It is not a defect. I also went to another store and the tongue is pink, not the same color as the face. I am so happy to know it is not a defect.

So, does this mean that all the Mary's for this year, have their tongue out?

Yes, I believe so. Her little tongue is sticking out as she is concentrating on her artwork, like a little 3 year old.

Thanks DanRN for sharing where I can see a picture of the produced ornament. Here's the link...

I just added more pictures of Harriet the Angel Follow Your Star by Donna Lee to my eBay auction and I noticed in the closeup that she also has her tongue sticking out on the right corner of her mouth. I wonder if there are other ornaments like this one and Mary's Angels that have little tongues too.

Sue Ann,
Follow Your Star by Donna Lee was not Hallmark ornament Angels.
That was after she retired from Hallmark.
