I just installed my 2013 Yulelog.
Apparently none of the photos I added _in_ 2012 (includes ornaments from various years purchased in 2012) moved over to my Collection photos in the 2013 version. The photos do show up in the Price Guide but not in my Collection. How can I fix this?

Also I noticed that the first two items in my Collection were blank so that my ornaments started with number 3. I was able to delete the empty/blank boxes and the list renumbered itself.
Don't know why this happens. I thin it happened last year as well.

I checked this year's update for Sean, looking at all of the titles, retail price, series name, number in series, Gold Crown exclusive, limited edition, colorway, members only, artist(s) name, correction picture, and inclusion. All of the items you listed, plus the ornament display stand for the Happiness Is... series, My Second Christmas, and My Third Christmas were all on the list I sent to Sean on July 25 (along with some corrections based on what I checked). I know he told me that this year the software has been modified so that he can issue updates without having to hold them for next year's update. I can't tell you when that will happen or what will be in any update but I can tell you that I identified these and provided the information. I suspect I didn't get the list to him in time for him to get the copies made when he wanted to but I turned it around as quickly as I could without having a deadline specified.

Thanks for the update, have been busy this summer trying to grow my antique business, so didn't load the program untill the other day. looking forward to the updates when they come up.

Are you saying that even if people bought the 2013 DVD they will still be able to update it prior to the issuance of the 2014 DVD of Yulelog?

What I understood from Sean is that you will be able to download additional information or corrections once you have the 2013 version loaded. I would expect this to be things like the event ornaments that he didn't know about before he had the CDs copied. I think this was on the planned schedule after all the changes were made last year. I don't know if the download would only include additional information or if it would include additional functionality.

Am I the only person who does not have a computer screen the size of a flat screen TV? Yulelog does not fit on my computer screen and I've been told it's because the program was written on a larger screen than I have. I realize I can click on VIEW and then zoom out but I have to do this every time I open Yulelog. I recall this problem was brought up regarding the 2012 Yulelog.

I upgraded to the 2013 version with little problems. I had the same picture problem Michele had, so her posts were helpful. My custom Catagory's (i.e. for Carlton, Enesco, etc) didn't convert, but that was a simple cut and paste to fix.

The only other issues I have noticed are missing ornaments for last year and prior years:
- 2012 RTW Angel
- 2012 Goofy's Tree Lot
- 2012 Jeep
- 2012 Comic Con ornaments
- 2012 Star War event ornament
- 2012 Elegant Reindeer (local club)
- 2011 Festive Santa Repaint (local club)
- 2008 Canada Santa From around the World mini (local club)
- 2012 Disney D23 Event exclusive ornament

I haven't added the 2013's yet, but I can already see the 2013 Comic Can Star Wars Rancor ornament is not listed.

I don't know if this will help you with some of the missing ornaments or not, but if you look at the top of the screen there are 3 buttons. I can't remember what the one on the left says, but it's something about ornaments added for 2013 or something like that. I'm not home, so I can't tell you exactly what it says, but that might help you with some of them you are looking for.

There are a few 2013 ornaments missing.

I have also offered to go back through all of the years of ornaments to see what is missing on them. It seems like every year there is an issue with local club ornaments and now the Mystery Frosties and Mystery Ornaments since we don't know much about them when Todd or Sean was working on the regular update. I think these would be on the list of things that Sean would update during the year and then fold into the next year's full update. I believe I checked Todd's additions two years ago in September so he had later data than what Sean had now. I spent two hours going over all the things I listed previously and Angela (tiggerfan) found something I missed.

If Sean doesn't acknowledge your comments, I'll make sure I check for them when I go through the list of what's in the database. I plan to spend some time watching baseball and football soon (my favorite team wears red and yellow and plays football on Saturday, winning substantially more often than the embarrassment that plays in KC some Sundays) and I can get a lot of data checking done while I'm doing that. I'll start with the more recent years since there's a higher probability there's something missing there.

I did see that button Michele, there are some missing 2012 listed there, the VIP Santa and Premiere One Sweet Gingerbread to name a couple, but many still missing.

Sean, If I'm not mistaken when Yulelog 2012 was issued we had the problem of transferring our own (added in LIST VIEW) pictures from 2011 to the new 2012 database. Now in 2013 we still have that same problem. Having to watch a video every year to figure out how to get our private pictures moved to the current database is a pain.
This is a big deal. Do you plan to fix this for 2014?

This is a big issue since many of us add photos when we add the ornaments that weren't added to Yulelog's prior year's update.

My request regards the STATUS field. I have used this field for years to track when I gift an ornament to each of my grandchildren, nieces or nephews. i.e. 11xmas or 12xmas for gifts given in 2011 & 2012.
Now the Status field only displays 9 options on the screen, so only the top 9 status "names" can be searched for. Is there a way to expand this field to allow me to "find" as many different "Status" designations as I have in my database?

2013 Yulelog shows box price of $39.99 for "Yummy Yule Log Cake" Seasons Treatings and a Secondary Market Price of $39.99.

The ornament's box price is actually $9.95.

Seeing the Secondary Market Price for 2013 ornaments has me wondering how these prices were determined prior to ornaments being offered for sale.

Debbie: I believe that, at least in some prior years, the secondary market price for a current year ornament is the same as the box price.

You're probably correct but this doesn't address the issue of the original box price for "Yummy Yule Log Cake" being $9.95 and the "market" price already set at $39.99?

I don't have this year's software yet, so I can't check this for myself. If you look at the "Yummy Yule Log Cake" today, does it show the market price as $23.95? When I was checking the 2013 update, I noticed that some of the ornaments had a market price higher than the box price for some of this year's ornaments, and they were the event and limited ornaments, so I suspect that the market value came from HookedonHallmark.com using the new interactive functionality. That's why I wondered if the market value is now $23.95 since that's what HookedonHallmkark.com shows for the selling price today.

Uh, what update? I have the program loaded from the DVD so there's been no automatic update and I've not received notice that there's been an update - but that's another subject...
I have the 2013 Yulelog program (DVD) installed. As I mentioned, the Market Price is listed at $39.99 for "Yummy Yule Log Cake." The Market Price for this item had to have been set prior to Sean sending out the DVDs. So, how can a Market Price be set even before the item hits the stores or before anyone knows how many of these items were available?

My guess, and it's just a guess, is that this is a typo.
