At least, I'm pretty sure it'll be this weekend. The time I folded down my boxes to store away, I typed up the poems/info on the back of the boxes since a lot of the descriptions are so cute, and I typed when I bought the ornaments on the file too since I usually shove receipts in boxes. And in 2006, I bought some at Kohl's for 25% off on November 18. In 2007, I bought some at Kohl's for 25% off on November 17. So, assuming my records are correct, that means it'll be this weekend.

If you missed out on "Who Rang that Bell?" check Kohl's this weekend! My Kohl's had 4 not counting the display two weeks ago! You could also find any of the non-GC exclusives that are running low.

For those on the West Coast, Mervyns has them for 30% off in their liquidation sale. I saw a Who Rang That Bell last week. The one I went to didn't have a lot of any one ornament but they still had a decent variety of them.

If anyone goes to Kohls and buys the ornaments, I did see the Peanuts platter there today again. Spend $10 or more on Hallmark (ornaments?) and get the platter for $10.
Here is a link to a picture from ebay.

Cool, thanks for the heads up! I never go to Kohls so I didn't even know about this one. I have the dessert plates from a couple of years ago and the glass platter from last year but this one looks much nicer.

I received an email that you print that is worth another 15% your purchases today and tomorrow. So, you might want to check your inbox before you go! - Karen

I went to Kohl's today hoping the Hallmark would be 25% off and indeed it was! I picked up three ornaments, including the Toyland express, which I had never noticed before and thought it was darling. My total was over twenty dollars, so I got two of the Snoopy dessert platters for ten dollars each. I stopped to look at the Hallmark boxed cards and saw a set of red and green bulb ornament shaped salt and pepper shakers which said they were free with each purchase of a Keepsake ornament! I got three sets, for gifts, one for each ornament purchased. I really cleaned up at Kohl's! To top it off, I had a card for an additional 15% off my total purchase.

Thank you for posting about the Snoopy platter. I went to the Kohl's nearest me this morning and found the last one they had. I didn't know they had a new set of Snoopy dessert plates as well so I picked up a 4-pack of those. The platter scanned at $14.99 but I pointed out the price tag to the cashier and she took the $5 off of it. I only bought 1 Hallmark ornament (Celebration Barbie at 25% off) and they let me get both the dessert plates and the platter.

You're welcome,Carol. I have been watching for the Snoopy promotion since someone had posted on here last year about them and almost didn't find them myself! I had to look throughout the Christmas area pretty well, and if I wasn't searching, I would not have seen them. I will have to go back and look for the dessert plates now. I wanted to go yesterday for the last day of the sale, as I had some more things I wanted to buy, but my daughter and son called and wanted to get together with me, so I had to pass \:\) But we all had a great time! But I did get the Snoopy platter and some ornaments on sale on Friday at the 25% off plus 15% more off with the card I got in the mail from Kohls.

My over-organization seemed to help someone! I bought 3 ornaments as well (A Pony for Christmas, Snowball & Tuxedo, & Home Sweet Home). Pony & Snowball/Tuxedo seem to be my traditional buys at Kohl's. I saw 3 of the "Who Rang that Bell?" ornaments. Oh well.

They were out of the salt and pepper shakers (last year they still had the Frosty Snowman ornament set of 2 promotion at this time, so that was surprising), and I didn't want the Peanuts thing.

Did your Kohl's have a sign saying ornaments were on sale? Mine didn't, but I did a price check on them to make sure, and they came up 25% off. I wish Gold Crown stores would do this. Sales would go way up, and they wouldn't have nearly as many leftover after Christmas.

Thank you, Luckdragon for your "over organization". Actually, I found it just about right and quite helpful. My Kohl's did have signs posted with the 25% off price, even a look up list saying that price would now be this price. The Carleton ornaments were also signed 25% off. There was no mention in the ad, so unless you were in the store (or you read this post) you wouldn't know about the sale. I will have to check back this week to see if I can locate the dessert plates. I got the Snowball and Tuxedo for myself and Cool Decade for my daughter. I'm sure I can come up with another $10 purchase to get the dessert plates if I find them. There were lots of the Pop Culture type ornaments, and fewer of the series ones. Now I want to start decorating!

I noticed in the Kohls newspaper ads that it said Hallmark ornaments excluded. I didn't go there because of this.

I did not get to Kohl's until today. I purchased another 'Who
Rang That Bell', and was able to get the set of 4 desert plates and the large platter. I also received a FREE, my favorite word, set of salt and pepper shakers, one is red and the other is green and they look large ball ornaments.

What a deal. The ornaments were really picked over, however, they still had several. I got one of only two of the Who Rang The Bell.

No Fisher Price play farms, no tricycles, and no baby's 1st bottles.

Love the plates and platter. The platter is large and heavy. The plates are cuter than last years. ;\)

Thank you for posting about this sale, but I missed it. Do you know when or if, Kohl's will have another?

I was at Kohl's today, but did not see any Hallmark Ornament Sale. They had Carlton's on Sale. I did not buy any Christmas items.

I needed to buy a decent coat and a couple of toys for my grandchildren. Which I did, along with three Christmas pins for $2.39 each. Two will go to my Friend's Granddaughters when we get together for our Christmas exchange of gifts.

I wanted to go to the Target next door, but my Daughter was getting tired, so we ended up stopping at the grocery store down the street to purchase things we needed for our suppers.

I was in Kohl's today and there was no sign, but the scanner is right next to the ornaments and they were 25% off again (or still - I was there last weekend, too). Last weekend they did not have the Snoopy plates/serving set so I went in today and they were there. The ornament shelves had been stocked as well. So I spent more money and got 2 sets of Snoopy.
When I was there last weekend, I asked about the Snoopy plates, and I was told there was Hallmark merchandise in the back and they were probably there, but the representative hadn't been in and only she could stock the shelves.
So if you missed it last week, check back and don't expect a sign. Find a scanner!
Happy Thanksgiving to all,
Marie

I was in Kohl's last night and there was a sign up saying 30% off Hallmark Ornaments...sure enough they rang up with the discount. This is the first time I have actually seen them advetising the discount.

I bought a bunch of Hallmarks a little over a week ago using a 30% off coupon I had that was expiring. So, while I was there last night I had them price match the current 30% discount (since they will adjust prices up to 2 weeks) and ended up saving a little over 50% off!! I wish now I had bought a few more, but will just wait til after Christmas.

Don't forget to check the posting yesterday by Taj. It has a link for 15% extra off at Kohls this weekend.

Thanks for the tip, Jan! So do you think that in addition to the 25 or 30% off on Hallmark ornaments, they'd honor another 15% off?

In that case, I'd probably be persuaded to forget the Hallmark coupon for buy 3 ornaments and get $5 off on a future purchase before 12/24. I don't really need a "future purchase" before Christmas.

There were some really great coupons on that page, Taj. With the ones that apply to my needs, I doubt I could do better on Nov. 28.

I forgot to mention the free $5. When I was checking out, there was a little pad at the register that you can fill out for a free $5 off your next purchase. All you have to do is give them your email address! I gave them mine and just received the email containing my $5 coupon!! Since it is $5 off a $5 purchase, basically its free $5!! Hopefully my Kohls is still 30% off so I can go pick up a $10 ornament for $2!!

Edited to add: I did ask the sales girl and she said if they already have your email it won't work. It is only good for new email addresses. So if you want the coupon and are already on their list, just sign up for a free email account with Yahoo or Gmail. I have an extra email account specifically for this purpose...so all my junk/spam mail goes to one account \:\)

I was at Kohl's yesterday and they had Hallmark Ornaments on Sale for 30% off and Carlton ornaments for 40% (this was going on for a while). Of course things were picked over.

It seems they do not have as many ornaments on either Carlton or Hallmark this year as they have had in the past.

The best thing about having them on sale is if you have the extra coupon for Pick a day, you can get get an extra 15% off.
